The unexplainable attack on the residents of Bodega Bay by birds of all shapes and sizes is the subject of this classic Hitchcock thriller. Thousands of real birds and nearly 400 trick shots make reality of the seemingly impossible, and lend an air of sheer terror that is hard to forget. The Birds represents Hitchcock at his very best.
Mélanie Daniels, attirée par un jeune homme, Mitch Brenner, qu'elle a rencontré par hasard à San Francisco, se rend à sa demeure de Bodega Bay. A l'occasion de ce voyage, elle est attaquée et blessée par un goéland. Plus tard, un grand nombre d'oiseaux s'en prennent sauvagement à un groupe d'enfants. Les oiseaux deviennent de plus en plus agressifs et attaquent le village en nombre incalculable. Ils prennent enfin d'assaut la demeure des Brenner où Mélanie vient près de trouver la mort.
