Sommaire
Grounded is the story of three young women who are recruited as young girls to be surrogate mothers for people in countries around the world. The girls are captured at a young age and journey through six different airports: The airport of love, the airport of war, the airport of consumerism, the airport of hunger, and the airport of broken dreams. After their journey they are impregnated. The women have gained much power and knowledge from their long journey, which in the end makes life difficult for their captors. In Grounded we see three women grow from childhood, to teenagers, to young women. This fast paced and darkly humorous play turns the sterile setting of the airport into a fantastical dream setting.
