Sommaire
An English chemist (Herbert Marshall) contracts radiation poisoning and his German wife (Marlene Dietrich) returns to the stage to raise money for treatment. She becomes involved with a nightclub owner (Cary Grant) and is subsequently torn between romantic, marital and maternal roles.
